Nice work man. I dig the colors and lighting set up. Cool rim lighting on the shoulders too. I dig the style and look- it definitly has a cohesive language that "commands itself". However, if I were critiqueing this drawing on realism I would say it is looking a little flat and that more range in values and colors could help. Also the left spectacle is too small. But seriously a cool painting my friend.
thanks for the crit. i would definitely consider this unfinished in terms of integrating the background into the figure. like you said, looks a little flat, not enough dynamic range. don't know if i'm motivated enough to revisit it.
